I had rectal bleeding from hemorrhoids; should I be concerned?

Anytime blood is noted in the stool, it needs to be investigated by a physician. Although rectal bleeding can occur from hemorrhoids, more serious conditions, such as colon cancer can present with this symptom. If you are having rectal bleeding, speak to your physician about whether you need further investigation.
