At what age should I get screened for colon cancer?

The American Cancer Society now recommends screening for colon and rectal cancers at the age of 45. If you have a relative with colon cancer or polyps then you may need earlier screening. Colonoscopy is painless and often saves lives by finding curable colon lesions before they turn into cancer. Please call our office to speak with one of our board certified gastroenterologists for more information.
